This is a lovely piece of work. The colours and the serene expression on your characters face make it a very calming picture. The shading and highlights on his face are very well done, but on his neck they do not seem to be blended, giving it a blocky, almost geometrical look. The texture of the hair is very nice, but it does not seem to have as much dimension toward the front as it does in the back. In front of the ear, it looks as if his hair simply disappears, there is no shading beneath to show dimension, making the side of his head look rather flat. His forehead also seems a bit short compared to the bottom portion of his face; make sure you sketch the entire head all the way around before adding hair and accessories.
A well thought out piece with wonderful colours. Keep practicing, you have a lot of potential.
